Enter a headline and optional subtitle. Each stays on its own layer, where it can be selected, dragged, duplicated, hidden, or locked.
Choose a preset or one of 15 display fonts, then set regular, bold, or black weight and adjust size, fill, stroke, shadow, and placement.
Switch the canvas between a solid color and transparency while checking contrast. The editor does not import photos; use a transparent PNG to test the text over a photo elsewhere.
Export PNG at 1×, 2×, or 4×, or save an SVG that keeps the current canvas dimensions and text elements for later editing.
A fancy thumbnail text generator is a focused editor for building readable text overlays without opening a full design suite. TextKits starts with a 1280 × 720 canvas, renders locally in your browser, and provides 15 bundled display fonts. Each text layer has its own font, weight, size, fill, stroke, shadow, alignment, and position controls, so the page produces an editable thumbnail text design rather than a list of decorative font samples.
Start with a headline and subtitle, or add more layers when the composition needs another label. You can duplicate, hide, lock, delete, select, and drag layers independently. The preview updates as the settings change, and long text can scale down or wrap instead of overflowing the canvas.
We verified that behavior with the Clean Tutorial preset. The headline “5 EDITS THAT WORK” wrapped as “5 EDITS THAT” and “WORK” inside the 1280 × 720 frame, while the separate subtitle remained “BEFORE / AFTER.” This is an output from the current fancy thumbnail text generator, not a mockup or a suggested layout.
Thumbnail text has to remain recognizable after the finished image is reduced in a feed. Use font weight for shape, a stroke to separate letters from nearby colors, and a restrained shadow when the background would otherwise swallow the edges. The fancy thumbnail text generator exposes those controls together, so you can judge the combination on the canvas instead of adjusting one setting in isolation.
Wording and layout affect each other. A short phrase can use a larger size and heavier outline; a longer phrase may need wrapping, a narrower font, or a different position. The nine-position alignment grid gives you a predictable starting point, while direct dragging handles smaller adjustments. That makes it practical to compare several thumbnail text ideas without rebuilding the composition each time.
Choose PNG when you want a ready-to-place overlay for a thumbnail, video frame, or image editor. The fancy thumbnail text generator can export PNG at 1×, 2×, or 4×. In our transparent-canvas check, a 1280 × 720 design exported at 2× as a 2560 × 1440 PNG, and the corner pixel had an alpha value of 0, confirming that the background remained transparent.
Choose SVG when you need the current thumbnail text style in a scalable file. In the same check, the SVG kept a 1280 × 720 viewBox, contained both text layers, and omitted a background rectangle because transparent mode was selected. The SVG references its font families rather than embedding font files, so another app may substitute a font if the matching family is unavailable. Use PNG when the exact rendered appearance matters more than later editing.
A headline and subtitle do different jobs. The headline should carry the main idea at a glance, while the subtitle can add context without competing for attention. Because they are separate layers, the headline can use a larger black weight and thicker stroke while the subtitle uses a smaller size, lighter outline, or different position.
Layer controls also protect work that is already settled. Lock a finished headline before moving the subtitle, hide a layer to compare versions, duplicate a layer for a variation, or delete an unused option. Selecting and dragging only the layer you want to change keeps the rest of the thumbnail text design intact.
Use the fancy thumbnail text generator for YouTube thumbnail text, gaming highlights, tutorial covers, reaction graphics, comparison cards, stream recaps, and short-form video covers. Presets provide a quick starting style, while the layer and typography controls let you adapt that style to the phrase instead of forcing every headline into the same treatment.
The canvas supports solid color or transparency; it does not import a photo background. If the final design uses a photograph, export a transparent PNG and place it over the image in your usual editor. This keeps the fancy thumbnail text generator focused on the text layer while giving you a clean asset for the rest of the production workflow.
